Eat The Weight Off

Accessibility Statement

Eat the Weight Off is for everyone, and we want our sites to work for everyone too. This statement covers eattheweightoff.com, Burn by Eat the Weight Off (burn.eattheweightoff.com) and Connections (connections.eattheweightoff.com).

Our goal

We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make websites easier to use for people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or captions. We are a small team, and this is ongoing work. We are not claiming full conformance today.

What we do

  • Use clear headings and plain language
  • Add text descriptions to meaningful images
  • Keep text readable, with strong contrast between text and background
  • Make pages work on phones, tablets and computers, and with browser zoom
  • Check new pages for accessibility as we add them
  • Add captions to our own videos as we publish them

Known limitations

Some parts of our sites may not be fully accessible yet. These include older pages we are still updating, some videos that do not have captions yet, and features provided by other companies, such as payment checkout, video calls and member chat. We cannot control how those outside services are built, but if one of them gets in your way, tell us and we will help you another way.

Tell us if something is not working

If you have trouble using any part of our sites, or you need information in a different format, please email us at info@eattheweightoff.com or use our Contact page. Let us know the page address and what happened, and we will do our best to help and to fix the problem. We aim to reply within 5 business days.
